Why does it deserve our mention? For using always fresh fruit from the region and for her suggestive herbal combinations of fruit, liquor, flowers, etc… In this case we are referring to a mixture of cherries and their particular acidity modulated by adding Kirsch which simultaneously exalts it. In the small Alsatian village of Niedermorschwhir, Christine lives and works with her team in a workshop of inspiration and truly handcrafted products. As proof of this we may mention as an example that they never cook more than four kilograms of fruit at a time (which is equivalent to approximately twenty jars), and they always do so in expensive copper pans. It is no coincidence that some of the best and most starry Chefs of France's serve it in their restaurants or use in their creations and no wonder such a renowned pastry chef as Pierre Hermé recommends it and sells it in his stores. From her small Alsatian bakery Christine works with seasonal fruit, making some cakes and jams, although almost all of her worldwide earned recognition is clearly for being the Queen of Jams. Luxury for a leisurely weekend breakfast.
